X2

X2 was designed and built in 1996 to aid in network application pushes.  Features were added when we needed them in order to "get the job done" for our clients.  X2 was originally for NT 4 to help with the NAV4 and SMS deployment engines, when Win2K was released, we figured group policies would make X2 obsolete... right up until a job in mid 2000 and that was how X3 was born.

Both applications run on the NT console (command line applications), they do things like test for OS versions and service pack levels, allow you to control what processor(s) a processes threads will run on (we had to add that feature for a bizarre production application - long story!), sends SMTP emails, controls windows and services, etc...

If you are in a jam and need a "quick feature" let Shawn know, his email is scuff@enterptech.com or 727-692-3972.

X2 (and X3).zip (both in one 107 KB zip file)
